Background For upcoming assignments within the Framework Contract Lot 6 (Environment), ICON-INSTITUT Public Sector GmbH is regularly seeking EU experts as short-term consultants. The objective of the Framework Contract is to provide short-term technical assistance, which can be mobilized at very short notice. The projects mainly focus on the following technical areas:
           
  n Sustainable management and protection of natural resources and Ecosystems
     
  n Nature protection and Biodiversity
     
  n Climate change
     
  n Marine environment and management of coastal areas
     
  n Urban environment
     
  n Waste management (incl. public/private management structures aspects)
     
  n Water management inclusive planning (e.g. integrated river basin management), water supply, waste water treatment
     
  n Air pollution / Noise protection
     
  n Environmental risks/disaster management
     
  n IPPC, Chemicals
               
Candidate's
profile		 Qualifications and skills
  n Higher university degree in a relevant field
     
  n At least 10 years of general professional experience
     
  n Sound working experience in one of the above mentioned technical fields
     
  n Fluency in English (written and spoken) as well as in a regional language
     
  n Part of his/her general professional experience gained abroad.
     
  n Working experience in similar EU projects (CARDS, TACIS, ALA, etc.)
