  Objective The overall objective was to reduce prejudice against minorities in the Czech Republic, particularly against the Roma.
Scope of work:
  1. To develop multi-cultural education curricula at primary school level, monitor and evaluate their implementation, and their contribution to decreasing prejudice against minorities, particularly the Roma.
  2. To enable the establishment of a training system concerning multi-cultural education at primary school level.

National survey into prejudice against minorities
Advise of the Research Institute of Pedagogy on the design of a model curriculum and on the methodology how to develop a individual curricula with a multicultural approach for the primary education level
Advise the MoEYS in the implementation of the model curricula and the methodology of the design of individual curricula in pilot schools
Introduction of a M&E system in the pilot schools
Evaluation and recommendations for the improvement of the curricula, its implementation and relevant teacher training needs
Establishment of a training system: Development of a Training Manual, Training of Trainers Programme, Teacher Training Programme on Multicultural Education
  Training of 50 Teacher Trainer
  Training of 2.000 Teachers
Methodological approach to multicultural curriculum development and its implementation and monitoring and evaluation
Thematic field of multicultural education
Teaching and learning methods (active learning, etc.)
